April 11, 2010. 7:00 AM: The Solemn Investiture of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Santo Tomas, My graduation day.
Finally after a grueling FIVE YEARS, I have finished my degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. After all the work, the cost, and the time I have finally marched up to the stage of PICC to shake hands with the Rector of the University, the Dean, and the assistant Dean of the Faculty of Engineering (We don’t get our diplomas during the rites, it will be mailed to us instead).
During the speech of the rector, he shared to us a Latin verse from the words of St. Thomas
“Coruptio Optimi Pessima”
It translates to The corruption of the best is the worst tragedy of all. He said that during his speech to allow the graduates to reflect on how the will spend the rest of their professional lives. It gives the graduates a moral stand point on how to view their paths. And it really struck me because, indeed if the best can and would be corrupted then how susceptible am I?
After the ceremonies we had lunch at a seaside resto and i finally, for the first time ate a lobster and i loved it. If not for the whopping price tag I could eat it every meal time. The other food where great too.
Finally its over! Hahaha. And I will never be as happy as today when i say “SALAMAT UNEMPLOYED NA AKO” hahaha.
I want to thank God, the almighty for giving me the faith and the drive to push and plow through the hurdles in my education.
My Nanay, who solely strived to work so I can finish my studies since my dad died.
My Tatay, for giving me the strength and the inspiration to good, for being my role model on how I would one day be a father to my own kids.
To my Kuya,na kahit nag kaka galit galit man kami nanjan pa din para sakin.
To my two nieces, kahit makukulit yan mahal na mahal ko, cute pa!!
To all the friends that I have made, salamat for bearing with me ( special mention to my bespren Chenee Jose and sa aking college barkada, ang Dota Boys).
To Ma’am Sang and Ma’am Tin, ang aking mga guidance counselors. Thank you for keeping my sanity in check throughout college specially nung mga last parts na.
Sa aking thesis adviser and thesis mates salamat at dahil sa inyu natapos na natin ang thesis and we got a 1.0 woooot!!
At sa iba pa pong hindi ko na nabanggit sa post na ito.

Congratulations! And welcome to the bum world. *Here I am planning to go back to that world. HAHAHA.*
